Description from the seller
A stunning example of West German industrial design, this Peter Transistor clock is a masterpiece of early 1970s "Space Age" aesthetics.
While it appears to be made of exotic rosewood, it is actually a sophisticated all-metal construction.
The central body features a high-quality lithographed wood-effect (faux-bois) finish on steel/aluminum, giving it a warm appearance while maintaining a sleek, mid-century industrial profile.
The central plate is framed by a continuous, sculptural loop of brushed aluminum that forms the clock's feet and hour-marker ring.
Movement & Condition:
Equipped with the famous Lic. ATO transistorized movement (Caliber 72.0-504).
Visible through the transparent rear housing, this electromagnetic movement represents the bridge between mechanical and quartz horology.
Visual Condition: Excellent for such a vintage piece.
Style: Minimalist, Bauhaus-influenced, Space Age.
A perfect centerpiece for any Mid-Century Modern interior or a standout addition for a collector of German "Black Forest" transistor clocks.
Dimensions: 28x30x4 cm
Power: 1.5V Battery.
