(This player also gives you a terrific picture with a regular TV, using interlaced mode.)

A dazzling audio performer as well, the DV-S939 plays DVD-Audio discs. Immerse yourself in up to 6 channels of high-resolution 96kHz/24-bit music from your home theater system, or 2 channels of ultra-detailed 192kHz/24-bit sound. Freed from CD's 16-bit limitations, DVD-Audio transports the musicians, instruments, and recording space to your room. The DV-S939's advanced D/A converters, top-quality parts, and rock-steady drive mechanism will reveal new musical details on your regular CDs, too.

Check out the back panel and you'll find 2 full sets of A/V outputs (even 2 component video!), and 4 digital outputs (2 coaxial, 2 optical). Specialty jacks include a DB-25 5.1-channel output (compatible with Onkyo's awesome TX-DS989VER2 receiver), and an RS-232C port for future software upgrades!

The remote control is not the original RC but you can fully operate this DVD player with it.
