GRAND SERVING PLATTER – Delft style, Van Duijn mark

Dimensions: 47.4 × 34.5 × 4.5 cm

Beautiful large oval serving platter with a festooned edge, in the Delft ware style. Hand-painted decoration in cobalt blue tones on a white background depicting a peacock at the center of a very lush floral and botanical composition — traditional motif known as the 'peacock', characteristic of the De Porceleyne Schotel manufactory.

Mark 'Duijn' in blue under the base, in the style of the signatures of Johannes van Duijn (active 1764–1773, Delft, Netherlands). Late piece inspired by 18th-century models.

Very good overall condition. Fine decoration, strong legibility of the motif. Generous size, ideal as a decorative piece or on a characterful table.

Beau grand plat ovale à bord festonné, dans le style de la faïence de Delft. Décor peint à la main en camaïeu de bleu cobalt sur fond blanc représentant un paon au milieu d'une composition florale et végétale très fournie — motif traditionnel dit « au paon », caractéristique de la manufacture De Porceleyne Schotel.

Marque « Duijn » en bleu sous la base, dans le style des signatures de Johannes van Duijn (actif 1764-1773, Delft, Pays-Bas). Pièce tardive s'inspirant des modèles du XVIIIe siècle.

Très bon état général. Décor fin, grande lisibilité du motif. Format généreux, idéal en pièce décorative ou sur une table de caractère.
