An antique rustic wooden hat head, hat block hand-carved with a face. Often used by hat makers around 1900-1920 to shape and display hats or wigs.
Material: The object is hand-carved from wood and often shows a rustic or folk art style.
Wear marks: The holes in the wood are typical and occur from pinning hats or wigs during the making.
Because of their unique and antique appearance these heads are nowadays popular decorative pieces.
On both sides a small nail-like feature, handy as a display for glasses.
