Nepalese handmade wool-on-cotton rug from the 21st century, 240 by 170 cm, in very good condition, with authenticity certificates.
Description from the seller
Nepalese carpets are hand-knotted unique pieces made from high-quality, often hand-spun Tibetan highland wool, distinguished by their density, durability, and the use of traditional Tibetan knotting techniques. They are known for simple, modern designs with soft color transitions and are excellent for underfloor heating thanks to natural materials and the absence of glue.
Details:
Knotting technique: Application of the Tibetan knot, in which material is looped around a rod. Often loops are created that are later cut, producing a particularly dense and soft pile.
Material: Usually high-quality, long-fiber Tibetan wool, which is very greasy (lanolin) and thus durable and stain-resistant. They are often combined with silk contents or hemp (very strong).
Design & color: Usually modern, restrained patterns, abstract designs, or solid-color areas with borders. Popular colors include earth tones, beige, gray, blue, green, or terracotta.
Texture: The back is not glued, which makes the rug elastic, durable and ideal for underfloor heating.
Manufacture: Pure handwork. Typical slight irregularities that make each piece a one-off.
Condition: The rug is in very good condition, full pile, the edges and fringes are in original condition,
The spots you see are table foot marks, not washed,
