Description from the seller
History and Company
The Ferrania Rondine is one of the most representative cameras of Italy’s postwar industrial renaissance. Produced starting in 1948 by the renowned Ferrania company (factories in Milan and Ferrania, Savona), it was designed by engineer Ludovico D'Incerti. Ferrania is historically famous for supplying film to the great directors of Italian Neorealism such as Pasolini, Fellini, and De Sica.
This model was not just a photographic instrument, but a true style object: it was one of the first cameras in the world to be offered in different colors to match the era’s outfits. The “Rondine” logo on the front panel was designed by D'Incerti himself.
