Antique Chinese Cedar Buffet Cabinet (Baimu)
This refined, two-piece cabinet is a classic example of Chinese cabinetmaking from the early 20th century (circa 1900-1920), executed in Chinese Cedarwood (Baimu or Nanmu). The piece comes from the estate of a specialized antique dealer, underscoring careful selection and authentic details.

• Material: Fully solid Cedarwood. This wood is highly prized in Chinese furniture due to its fine grain, durability, and natural insect-repellent properties.
• Construction: * Two-piece: consists of a lower cabinet with two drawers and two doors, and an upper cabinet with glass panels and gilded carved work.
• Joints: Hand-cut dovetail joints in the drawers, crafted by hand.
• Decoration: * Rich gilded and openwork carving around the display panels.
