The artist, distant from schools and trends, creates his works as a free man, following exclusively his own ideal and personal objectives.
In this painting on a textured/impasto base, the artist has drawn many colored bands that open up into space like bursts of color—red, yellow, orange, blue, black, gray—in a disordered arrangement, while in the central part regular and orderly geometric shapes unfold, evocative of the calm after a hurricane, where one immediately immerses in the orderly reconstruction of everything that was destroyed.
Paolo Contin has had a long artistic career. He trained in the world of design and since 1980 has worked in fashion and art. Since 1999 he began to exhibit his works; in 2002 his first solo show in Padua, followed by many exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
