Léon Daubry solid brass early 20th‑century coach and car jack from Belgium, dating to ca. 1910–1920, in good original condition with minor signs of age and spots.

Rare and unusually decorative mechanical coach-/car jack from the early 20th century, originating from Belgium and marked:
“LEON DAUBRY – BREVETÉ – GILLY”
This fine pre-WWI piece is likely dated around 1911, which also matches the old original exhibition/inventory label still present on the footplate.
It is an early ratchet jack with:
- vertical toothed rack,
- long operating lever,
- original support,
- heavy, stable footplate.
Such jacks were used for:
- horse-drawn carriages,
- coaches,
- early automobiles,
- and garage or workshop use in the pioneering era of the automobile.
The object possesses a beautiful authentic industrial appearance with a completely original old patina. A special collectible for lovers of:
