About the seller
Reihan Trandafir is a self-taught, Romanian born, UK-based contemporary mixed media artist, whose work explores abstraction through memory, perception, and emotional depth.
Beginning her practice in 2020, she developed from soft, neutral compositions into layered, textured works that reflect the quiet passage of time and the rhythms of inner life.
Her exhibition journey began in December 2022 with the Advent Art Calendar at Wall in the Barn, Huddersfield, where she also participated in the 2023 edition. In 2023, her work was exhibited across three consecutive exhibitions at Halifax Open Gallery in May, June, and July, followed later that year by exhibitions at Fronteer Gallery, Sheffield, and Wall in the Barn, Huddersfield.
In February 2023, she also launched her YouTube channel as a visual journal documenting the evolution of her artistic practice. Search under Reihan Trandafir.
In 2024, Trandafir was featured in Artist Closeup Blog and Artter Magazine.
Her largest exhibition to date took place at the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull Museum, where her work was exhibited throughout the summer and successfully sold.
Later that year, she exhibited again at Fronteer Gallery, Sheffield, and participated in Flux Online Exhibitions.
In 2025, she took part in Open Studios Notts Nottinghamshire, exhibited at Narrowly Newark, participated in an online auction with Chinwe Russell, and exhibited throughout December at Beeston Library, Nottingham.
The same year, she was featured in ArtistTalk Magazine.
In 2026, she joined the Studio to Gallery mentorship programme with Sonia Borrell and was named one of the 100 Emerging Artists of 2026 by the Arts to Hearts Project.
