Bronze statue of the Gëlle Fra or the war memorial in Luxembourg.

The Gëlle Fra is a monument in Luxembourg. The monument by artist Klaus Cito on Place de la Constitution was erected in 1923 to commemorate the Luxembourgish victims of World War I. On 20 October 1940 the Nazis tore the monument down; only in 1984 did the monument regain its former prestige.

Het monument van kunstenaar Klaus Cito op de Place de la Constitution werd opgericht in 1923 om de Luxemburgse slachtoffers van de Eerste Wereldoorlog te herdenken. Op 20 oktober 1940 braken de nazi's het monument af; pas in 1984 vond het monument zijn oude luister terug.
