Chandelier - Glass, Chrome, Metal

Up for auction: a refined three-flame pendant lamp, a splendid example of Space Age design dating from the 1970s. The supporting structure is characterized by chromed steel tubes with a sinuous inverted 'U' curve on the upper part, which gives the piece dynamism and a strong visual impact. The three spherical diffusers are true masterpieces of glassmaking. Each globe features a sophisticated frosted/satin finish on the upper part that gently fades toward transparency. The distinctive detail is located at the bottom of each sphere: a relief-work on the glass with a suggestive amber/orange coloration, which creates a magnificent color contrast and diffuses a warm, atmospheric light when the chandelier is lit. It also features a perfectly functioning pull-chain.
