Description from the seller
Welcome to certainly one of the highlights of this year at Catawiki, regarding “signed art books”; dating back, on one hand, to the estate of Karl Geyers! A art collector from Jülich who, in almost 75 years, accumulated about 100,000 drawings, autographs, art books, and objects, and who befriended many artists during this time, such as Gerhard Richter, Otto Piene, Janosch, Günther Uecker and many others!
And on the other hand, from my private collection, which I was able to assemble over many years.
In this auction, 100 handsigned and partially even painted art and photographic books by international artists are offered, such as from
- Gerhard Richter
- David Hockney
- Ellsworth Kelly
- Georg Baselitz
- Cornelia Schleime
- Wolfgang Tillmans
- Martin Eder
- Andreas Gursky
- Bridget Riley
- Wolfgang Mattheuer
- Bernhard Heisig
- Thomas Ruff
- Bernard Aubertin
- Anselm Kiefer
- Gunther Sachs
- Richard Long
and many more, with a starting bid of EUR 100.00.
Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity to acquire signed books by artists, some of whom have already passed away and possess legendary status!
