Walther & Co. “Stabil” Metallbaukasten No. 50 – Early Engineering Construction Set (Germany)
Approx. date: c. 1911–1920s (early production period, pre-war era)
Rare and early German engineering construction set manufactured by Walther & Co., Berlin, part of the historic Stabil Metallbaukasten system designed for educational engineering and mechanical assembly.
The set comes in its original wooden box with hinged compartments, showing period construction with hand-fitted joints and metal hardware. The lid features an original lithographed illustration depicting children engaged in engineering and construction activities (bridges, cranes, railway infrastructure), typical of early 20th-century technical educational toys.
Condition:
Complete set in good antique condition, showing authentic age-related wear.
