We present a beautiful bronze Celtic amulet, used by the Celtic tribes in Europe roughly between the 8th century BCE and the 1st century BCE.

Although today it is commonly used as a pendant, in ancient times it had multiple functions such as a medium of exchange, a symbol of status and wealth, spiritual value or protection.

These tend to be smooth and of different thicknesses. They are often found in sets (treasures), which reinforces the idea that they were a standardized way of hoarding value.
