A French Louis-Philippe era carved and gold-leaf gilded wooden frame, dating to 1850–1900, with exterior dimensions 85 × 68 cm and internal 70 × 54 cm, in good condition with normal signs of age and small losses of gilding.

From private collection and of legitimate provenance
Ancient French Louis-Philippe frame in carved wood and gold leaf gilding, 19th century (circa 1840-1880).
Important ornamental work with floral motifs and grape cluster decorations in relief on the corners and along the bands, typical of 19th-century French production in the Louis-Philippe/Napoleon III taste.
The structure is wood with decorative applications in gilded plaster (pastiglia). Original back with antique hanging rings.
Dimensions:
• external: 85 × 68 cm
• inner opening: 70 x 54 cm
Conditions:
good general conservation state, with normal signs of age, light wear and small losses of gilding compatible with the object's age. Authentic patina restored non-invasively.
Ideal for old paintings, mirrors or classic and eclectic furnishing.
