This exceptional collection is dedicated to Greek mythology and thematizes the legendary Aegis—the mighty shield of the gods.
In Greek mythology, the Aegis was a symbolic shield adorned with the head of Medusa and carried by both Zeus and Athena. The god Hephaestus crafted it from goatskin, and it was attributed with supernatural powers—it could unleash storms and was regarded as indestructible.
The ancient bronze coin included in this collection originates from Anatolia (Pontos region) and shows on the obverse the Aegis with Medusa's head and on the reverse the Greek goddess of Victory, Nike.
Condition: preserved for its age (see photos).
The coin is delivered in a high-quality presentation box with a thematic certificate and is ideal as a collector's piece or a special gift.
