Vincenzo Raimondo’s original acrylic triptych Fly: Beautiful Outsiders (2026), multicoloured, 60 × 30 cm, hand-signed, in good condition, Italy, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
In this triptych of the Fly series, the artist transforms three icons of animation into essential images suspended in time.
Jack Skellington, Wall•E and the chairs from Up become small symbols of solitude, love and the longing to escape, told with few signs and large empty spaces.
The minimalism of the composition leaves room for the viewer’s emotional memory: the films are not represented, but the sensations they left inside us. A lightness that is only apparent, which hides nostalgia, dreams and that childish need to keep looking at the sky.
****
The Fly series arises from the idea of transforming small everyday objects into symbols of memory, lightness and freedom. Through minimalist compositions and wide matte backgrounds, the focus is on essential details: balloons, suspended figures and nostalgic allusions that evoke childhood, dreams and shared memories.
Each work plays on the contrast between empty space and color, between the simplicity of the composition and the emotional force of the subject. The small protagonist elements seem to float in space, creating a sense of silence and suspension that makes the painting immediately recognizable and contemporary.
The tactile and deliberately imperfect surfaces dialog with iconic symbols of pop culture and collective memory, giving life to poetic, ironic and deeply evocative works. “Fly” is a series that speaks of lightness, but also of the emotional weight of memories that we continue to carry with us.
***Disclaimer***
Each work arises from the meeting between artistic expression and artisanal craftsmanship.
The painting represents the main creative element, while the support (canvas and materials) is an integral part of a careful and conscious production process.
The canvases used are selected with particular attention to quality and, where possible, to environmental sustainability, privileging recycled or low-impact materials. In some cases, the supports may be realized or finished artisanally, including through the reuse of materials.
Any slight imperfections of the support should not be considered defects, but testimonies of the manual process and the artisanal nature of the product. Such characteristics do not in any way compromise the artistic value and integrity of the work, but rather reinforce its uniqueness.
Therefore, each painting should be understood as a unique piece, the result of a production that blends creativity, manual craft and responsible attention to materials.
