Description from the seller
Here is a piece of history:
Antique typewriter "Ideal" A4 produced by the German company Seidel & Naumann. The Ideal A was the first model of typewriters with a 4-row keyboard produced in Germany.
The most important feature of this specific specimen is its rare keyboard in Cyrillic characters of the pre-revolutionary Russian alphabet.
Main features of the model
Historic brand: The golden logo on the front bears the inscription Идеалъ ("Ideal" written with the pre-1918 Russian orthography).
Pre-revolutionary Russian orthography: On the keyboard are clearly visible historic letters eliminated by the Bolshevik orthographic reform of 1917-1918, such as Ѣ (Yat) on the white key on the left and the hard sign Ъ in a position different from the modern layout.
The machine is functional. Only two keys are broken, one of which is missing. In the last photo they are highlighted.
Museum piece. An important item!!
I’m not setting a reserve price; I’ll let you decide the right price for this extraordinary specimen.
Happy bidding to everyone!!!
