A gentleman’s walking cane, circa 1910–1920. With a shaped wooden T-handle above a slender dark hardwood shaft, fitted with an engraved sterling silver collar, stamped with the lion passant, decorated with scrolling foliate ornament. The clean lines and balanced proportions are characteristic of traditional early 20th-century gentlemen’s walking sticks. Both functional and decorative, this example retains considerable visual appeal, with the engraved silver mount providing an elegant contrast to the richly toned wood. Condition consistent with age and use, with surface wear, minor imperfections, and age-related marks throughout. Overall presenting well. Length: 90 cm.
