Description from the seller
For sale is an extraordinary, heavy studio glass vase from the legendary and highly collectible special series “Arte Nova” by Schott-Zwiesel, introduced in 1975. This exclusive line was designed in opulent Neo-Art Nouveau and is characterized by a masterful, highly iridescent surface with the finest mother-of-pearl-lustre glaze, as well as dynamically fused, wave-like filament structures.
This splendid piece is a rare document of German glassworks history. On the underside of the cut base there is not only the original etched studio stamp (the round monogram “SA” for Serica Arte / Arte Nova), but also the manufacturer-hand-engraved model number 140-59 and the edition number 100.
