All automatic watches must be wound at first use by the crown as wrist movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the necessary power reserve.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid possible damage to the mechanism, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 3:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55 (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Do not forget to securely screw the crown back after adjusting the desired settings.)
