Cette lampe est un prototype de la designer Vanessa Mitrani. Ce modèle n'a jamais été édité. il n'existe que très peu d'exemplaires de cette lampe. 
Il est emblématique de son travail sur la  contrainte du verre, soufflé dans une structure métallique, et porté par un mélange de matériaux.
Ici, la transparence, la rondeur et la fragilité du verre forment un contraste avec la trame stricte et régulière du maillage métallique. 
Le verre est soufflé à la bouche à l'intérieur de la structure en acier, d'où il jaillît et d'où nait sa forme. 

Vanessa Mitrani est distribuée dans le monde entier par des enseignes prestigieuse telles que Roche Bobois, Lane Crawford, Bergdorff Goodman ou Cassina. 
Certaines des ses créations font partie de la collection permanente du Musée de Arts Décoratif de Paris. 
Les éléments sont réalisés en collaboration étroite avec des artisans, et sont assemblés dans son atelier de Pantin, à coté de Paris où elle conçoit toutes ses collections.
