Antique nightstand in precious wood dating from the second half of the 19th century, precisely to the period of the Second French Empire (circa 1850-1870), also known as the Napoleonic III era.
In this period the "eclectic style" was widespread, which drew on and reinterpreted the elegant and varied lines of the eighteenth century (Louis XV style), enriching them with complex geometric inlays and bronze mounts.
