A beautiful Thornton-Pickard enlarger from around 1905.
Original: Photographic Enlarging Lantern, for glass plates 8 x 10 cm, but with a holder can also be used as a magic lantern.
The T & P factory was founded in Manchester, UK, 1888.
The lantern has no illumination.
T & P lanterns are, also due to their warm appearance, highly sought after in England as collectible items for the shelf or display case.
Length about 60 cm, height 32 cm.

Een prachtige Thornton-Pickard vergroter uit ongeveer 1905. 
Origineel; Photograpic Enlarging Lantern, voor glasplaatjes 8 x 10 cm, maar met een houder ook te gebruiken als toverlantaarn.
De fabriek T & P werd opgericht in Manchester, V.K.  1888.
De lantaarn heeft geen verlichting.
De lantaarns van T & P zijn, ook door de warme uitstraling, in Engeland zeer gewild  als verzamel object op de plank of voor de vitrine.
