Original acrylic abstract expressionist painting by Paco Requena, titled El principio de algo - XXL, 130 by 97 cm, hand-signed on the back, produced in 2026, in excellent condition, shipped rolled without a frame and requiring mounting at destination.
Description from the seller
Unique work directly from the artist's studio, created in acrylic on canvas. Entirely handmade, signed on the back. Painted originally on a stretch, later dismantled for shipment. It is varnished to ensure its preservation.
Given the size of the piece, to guarantee proper transport, it is sent unstretched, rolled, and protected in a box or tube. It must be mounted at destination on a frame that matches the artwork’s dimensions (130 x 97 cm).
The artwork has a 2-centimeter black-painted border that is not part of the piece. It also includes an extra fabric margin of about 3.5 cm on each side.
Some images are edited and may give a misleading idea of the artwork's dimensions. Size verification is recommended. Realistic interior and exterior images of the work are included at the end. Some colors may vary slightly depending on the lighting of the photograph and the device on which the work is viewed.
Paco Requena is a Spanish abstract painter who lives and paints in southern Spain. Trained as a psychologist, during his university studies he began to be interested in art and started his artistic training by creating his first abstract works. He has held solo and group exhibitions, and his works are available in galleries in his region.
In the artist’s universe, color becomes language and geometry becomes emotion. His abstract works celebrate the harmony between the structured and the intuitive, through compositions built with vibrant blocks, rhythmic patterns, and lines that dance between order and chaos.
Each piece is a visual mosaic, an exploration of textures and forms that invite the viewer to discover personal narratives within what appears random.
The color palette, bold and contrasting, inspired by the colors of southern Spain, awakens the eye and transforms the ordinary into art.
Inspired by the spirit of collage and the geometric abstraction of the 20th century, these works present themselves as emotional maps of the present: imperfect, fragmented, but full of intention. A visual experience that does not seek to represent, but to evoke.
