Walking stick - .925 silver - Edwardian 1915
An elegant Edwardian walking cane, hallmarked for London, 1915, distinguished by hammered silver mounts and a finely worked crook handle.
The shaft is of wood, shaped and scored to imitate the segmented appearance of natural bamboo, a decorative treatment that was particularly popular during the Edwardian period. The hammered silver pommel and central collar are engraved, the collar bearing a monogram.
Condition is consistent with age and use, with surface wear, light rubbing and minor imperfections to the wood and silver. The ferrule is no longer present. Length: 92 cm.
