Description from the seller
Francisco Vera – 915 silver miniature box – Madrid – Spanish costumbrista scene – interior gold-plated
Magnificent miniature box made in 915 silver by the renowned Madrid silversmith Francisco Vera, an author especially valued for his refined sculptures and small silver works of great artistic quality.
The lid features an elaborate high-relief scene inspired by Spanish costumbrismo, showing rural figures —men and women— gathered in a traditional setting with popular architecture, evoking romantic scenes of historical Spain. The work stands out for the depth of the relief and the extraordinary level of detail in the composition.
The interior is fire-gilded, creating an elegant contrast with the exterior in silver and providing a luxurious finish characteristic of high-quality pieces.
The piece retains the visible punches corresponding to the author Francisco Vera and the Spanish 915 silver mark.
