Medsan’s 40 × 40 cm giclée, unique 1/1 edition titled Golden Embrace Klimt (黄金の抱擁), signed by hand, created in 2026 in France, in excellent condition, depicting a pop art culture‑pop mashup.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format artwork, Medsan leads us into a romantic and flamboyant fresco, delivering a masterful mashup between the aesthetics of feudal Japan and one of the greatest masterpieces in art history: Klimt's The Kiss. This unique giclée transposes the iconic embrace of the Viennese lovers into the ukiyo-e universe, staging a majestic samurai clad in his horned armor and an elegant female figure draped in a sumptuous kimono.
The visual splendor of the composition lies in the omnipresent use of gold, brilliantly merging Klimt's famous 'Golden Phase' with the luxury paravents (byōbu) tradition. The total abandonment of the young woman and the warrior's protective stance perfectly fit the sensual geometry and tenderness of the original work. The abundant details—the braided texture of the armor replacing Klimt's geometric patterns, the floral abundance of the kimono and the stylized prairie in the foreground—create a scene of extraordinary richness.
The impact of the work is elevated by the integration of elegant columns of calligraphy and a textured gold-leaf background, giving the piece a dreamlike and timeless dimension. The traditional cartouche in the upper right, housing the artist's name in katakana (メドサン), completes this bold bridge between European Symbolism and traditional Japanese art.
A majestic piece, both brilliant, romantic and conceptual, ideal for bringing a touch of passion, golden light, and a subtle nod to art history into a design and contemporary interior.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Set up as a real hub of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, naive art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, realized and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic requirement and an identity unique to each artist.
