Le Phare - Unknown - 65653 - Men - 1920

Monopulsante coaxial chronograph from the Swiss house Le Phare. The house is famous for its luxury pocket watches; this is the first wristwatch chronograph model.

The watch is datable to between 1915 and 1920.

The chronograph is a single-push with the rare feature of having the coaxial pushbutton integrated into the winding crown.

Case 37mm excluding crown, hinged case back, both in 18K gold with hallmarks, weight excluding strap about 36 grams (total weight of case and movement).

Fixed lugs.

Original ceramic dial, perfectly preserved, with Arabic numerals and Breguet hands.

Small seconds counter at 9 o'clock and chronograph minute counter at 3 o'clock.

External tachymeter scale, screen-printed and perfectly legible.

Manual-wind Valjoux 22 movement, column-wheel.

The watch is functional, keeps good time, the chronograph starts and resets perfectly.
