A Roman Bronze Statuette of a Standing Woman, 1st to 3rd Century A.D. Elegant and finely detailed Roman bronze figurine measuring 5.3 cm in height. The figure depicts a standing woman wearing a draped garment (chiton and himation) that elegantly clings to her body, with one hand resting on her hip and the other holding the folds of her dress. She has a serene, idealized face with delicate features and a hairstyle or headdress typical of the period. The piece displays a beautiful dark, almost black patina with subtle metallic highlights. Small bronze statuettes like this were very popular in the Roman Empire, representing goddesses (such as Venus/Aphrodite), priestesses, or elegant ladies.
