Challenge de boule lyonnaise - 1950 - Sport trophy

Impressive Lyonnaise boule trophy, won by Marcel Tauvéron, in Lyon (France), in 1950. The Lyonnaise boule is a studded ball, larger than a pétanque ball. This silvered metal trophy (hallmarks on the base – see photo) is fitted with two handsome mahogany handles. Several motifs are raised. It rests on a solid wood base measuring 6 x 27 x 27 cm. There is a very small dent at the bottom back (blue dots in a photo), not affecting in any way the beauty of this Art Deco piece. Dimensions: 54 x 29 x 15 cm. Weight: 4.8 kg.
