The SANSUI AU-D607X DECADE is a landmark integrated amplifier released in 1984–85 as part of Sansui's prestigious "Decade" commemorative series. At its heart lies Sansui's proprietary Twin Diamond X-Balance amplifier circuit — a fully balanced architecture spanning input, output, power supply, and NFB (negative feedback) stages. Unlike conventional amplifiers that rely on a single-ended ground return, the AU-D607X drives speakers symmetrically from both the positive and negative sides, effectively eliminating IHM (Intermodulation) distortion caused by power supply ripple currents and back-EMF interference. The result is a strikingly low THD of 0.003% and an exceptionally wide frequency response from 1 Hz to 300 kHz.
Rated at 90 watts per channel into 8Ω, this amplifier offers generous headroom for demanding speakers.
