Richard Smeets (1955) created the abstract silkscreen print Zonder titel, dated 1987, in a limited edition of 21/196, with yellow, blue and orange colours, 100 × 80 cm, framed, hand-signed, produced in the Netherlands and sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Richard Smeets (Gennep, 1955) is a Dutch visual artist, known for his lyrical semi-abstract paintings and sculptures. He studied from 1973 to 1978 at the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht and developed into an artist with international recognition.
Smeets' work is thematically organized into three periods. In the first period, the woman is central. The second period is inspired by his travels to Malaysia and Indonesia, the homeland of his mother. In the third period he focuses on the Dutch landscape.
His paintings are characterized by a layered working method, in which he translates impressions into memories, then into dreams, and finally into images. He operates from his studio in Heijen, and his work is exhibited domestically and internationally, including the Netherlands, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the United States.

No glass in front
