Carabagh: hand-knotted rugs, originating from the far south of the Caucasus. They often feature geometric motifs, but also stylized floral motifs inspired by Iranian designs where roses and flowers in the French style are common. These carpets frequently have a double row of knots between the warp threads. The use of velvet in cochineal red is common.
