Teapot - Earthenware - YIXING ZISHA TEAPOT
A Chinese Yixing zisha teapot, dating to the Late Qing period.
The body is decorated in relief and coloured enamels with the traditional motif of the Three Friends of Winter (pine, bamboo and plum blossom), together with a bat symbolising blessings and good fortune in Chinese culture.
The teapot is of unusual cylindrical form with turquoise-glazed spout and handle, retaining attractive original decoration and good overall colour.
Condition: Overall in good condition. There are several small chips to the decoration on the cover, as shown in the photographs. No major cracks or repairs observed.
