Two original antique Art Nouveau earthenware tiles from circa 1900 with transferprint decor; the left tile is English and measures 15.7 x 15.7 cm and has damage in the bottom-left corner, the right tile is German from Tonwerk Offstein and measures 14.7 x 14.7 cm with a small glaze fault in the bottom-left corner, depth 1.0 cm, in good condition with light signs of aging.

These are two original antique Art Nouveau tiles made around 1900. The decoration on both tiles was applied using transfer-print technique. The left tile was made in England and measures 15.7 x 15.7 cm, and has damage in the bottom-left corner; otherwise the tile is in fine condition. The right tile measures 14.7 x 14.7 cm and was made in Germany at Tonwerk Offstein. The condition is very good with only a small glaze defect in the bottom-left corner. I have been trading antique tiles for almost 20 years. I sell medieval lead glazed floor tiles. Italian, Spanish and Portuguese tiles from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century. Dutch tiles from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as tiles from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. I sell at special tile fairs in Germany and England, through Catawiki and eBay and through my website.
