Description from the seller
Pair of sculptural deer in solid silver – stag and hind
Elegant and refined sculptural pair made in solid silver by the renowned Madrid master, an artist especially valued for his animal miniatures and naturalistic compositions of great artistic quality.
The composition represents a majestic stag accompanied by a hind, executed with extraordinary sculpting work and a fine engraved texture that recreates in a very realistic way the fur, expressions and anatomy of both animals. Notably the meticulousness of the antlers, the natural posture, and the artisanal craftsmanship characteristic of Vera's workshop.
These miniatures reflect the Spanish tradition of Madrid's 20th-century artistic silversmithing, being highly decorative pieces and very sought after by collectors of silver miniatures and sculptural fauna.
