About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools; she currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensitivity.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the digital art field, using contemporary media to explore themes tied to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works gently and forcefully address topics such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh and deeply evocative works. The application of the Kintsugi concept in this work is sublime. It is not limited to an object, but encompasses the entire space. The planets and the firmament show golden fractures suggesting that the universe itself is an entity that suffers, breaks and rebuilds. The technique of “gilding” over the deep blue and the ochre transforms the loneliness of space into a celebration of survival. Here, resilience is not an individual act, but a universal law.

The figure of The Little Prince, dressed in a suit seemingly forged from fragments of stars and gold leaf, symbolizes an identity forged by travel. Each crack in his world represents an encounter, a loss or a lesson learned. The fox, posed with serene dignity, and the rose, intact yet vibrant, act as anchors of memory.
