Box - .800 silver, Vermeil - Snuff box / silver box

Hello, I offer you a richly ornate tabatière in solid silver and vermeil 800, engraved, rectangular in shape. The central medallion depicts a scene drawn from Greco-Roman mythology, featuring a chariot drawn by two horses, surrounded by floral motifs of incredible finesse, as you can see in the photos. A finishing frieze all around, excellent quality, on the sides a decoration of garlands representing leaves.

This box is remarkable, and its condition is excellent, with a maker's mark LC in a lozenge. These hallmarks are typical of French production from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
