Beautiful Ewe Bocio stake head from Togo. It is an object with a strong presence. The face is expressive and captivating. It seems serene, confident in its strength, immersed in the world of spirits. Its task is to protect a place and its occupants from evil spirits and curses.
The figure was attacked by wood-boring insects. The lower part of the body is missing. It is damaged but solid. The patina is beautiful, rich and complex. Composed of earth, shea butter, blood, alcohol.... Sold as is. Custom base. A beautiful ancient and authentic Vodou/Voodoo collectible piece. Circa 1950.

Belle tête de piquet Bocio Ewe du Togo. C'est un objet avec beaucoup de présence. Le visage est expressif et captivant. Il semble serein, confiant en sa force, plongé dans le monde des esprits. Sa tâche est de protéger un lieu et ses occupants des mauvais esprits et des sorts. 
Le personnage fut attaqué par des insectes xylophages. Le bas du corps est manquant. Il est abimé mais solide. La patine est belle, riche et complexe. Composé de terre, de beurre de karité, de sang, d'alcool.... Vendu en l'état. Socle sur mesure. Une belle pièce de collection Vaudou ancienne et authentique. Circa 1950.
