These are 2 original antique Art Nouveau tiles made circa 1900. The decoration is in relief applied by means of the dust-pressed technique, in which clay powder is compacted under high pressure into a mold. The upper tile with a dragonfly is made in Germany at a factory in Meissen. The condition is good, but in the top-left corner there is a larger defect visible that has been greened. The dimensions of this tile are 14.8 x 7.4 cm. The lower tile with floral decoration is made in England, probably at Maw. The tile measures 15.2 x 7.5 cm and is in good condition with only a few small glaze chips in the bottom-left corner.

Dutch tiles from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as tiles from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. I sell at special tile fairs in Germany and England, through Catawiki and eBay and through my website.
