Description from the seller
Willem Kroon was born on 8 November 1946 in Utrecht. Willem Kroon attended the Free Academy in The Hague for a short time (1965-1966) but at that time could not feel happy as a painter.

Dutch landscape
Visual arts
Member of the International Organization of Free Art
Education: Free Academy in The Hague / autodidact.
After many jobs, Willem Kroon ended up as a technical assistant on an American drilling rig in the North Sea, where he was struck by a serious accident. In the rehabilitation center in Heerenveen he rediscovered painting, initially as a form of occupational therapy and increasingly as a fulfillment of his daily task. After his recovery he significantly improved the quality of his work through drawing and extensive outdoor painting.
The famous Makkum pottery and Frisian clocks also held his interest for a while, but he felt this too much as decoration and could not express himself in his own will to create. Oil painting brought a change and Willem Kroon had a strong future as an artist. Unfortunately, Willem Kroon died too young in 2001 due to illness. We will package this work neatly and ship it insured.
