Pitcher - opaline - Opaline pitcher

Pitcher made of hot-blown glass. Amber glass for the body and neck. Opal white glass for the handle and the footed base. A gold filet outlining the base.

The globular body is topped by a long slender neck. The spout is finely curved upward. The twisted handle, in opal white glass, is applied hot. The circular foot, in milky glass, ends with a painted gold rim.

A gilded metal medallion is applied to the body. It depicts two heraldic lions supporting a shield. A crown surmounts it. The Latin motto “Providentiae Memor” completes the ensemble.

Italian work from the mid-20th century.
Excellent condition.
