Interesting post-impressionist work titled “Galerna en Landas” by artist S. Nanzy, which captures the atmosphere of a galerne on the coast of the French Landes, created in the 1890s in France.
The work is executed using a mixed technique of watercolor and gouache on cardboard. It depicts the agitated atmospheric phenomenon that galernes bring to the coast. The palette is confined to a grayscale scale, bluish tones and earthy and reddish accents, articulating a sky of great tension that threatens the shore. The brushwork is loose, avoiding detail in favor of prioritizing movement. The human figures are barely sketched on the sand. The piece is presented in a frame with a gold period moulding with vegetal decoration and a beige mat.

The frame protecting the artwork is offered as a gift, but it has value in itself. It is provided at no additional cost so that when your artwork arrives at your home or destination it can be exhibited immediately. Any damage to the frame itself, that does not affect the integrity of the artwork, cannot be accepted as a valid reason to open a claim or request a cancellation.
