Armand Marseille - Doll - 1850-1900 - Germany

This exquisite Armand Marseille doll, 19 cm tall, is a jewel of late 19th or early 20th century German toy making. It stands out for its biscuit porcelain head in perfect condition, sleeping glass eyes that retain their magnetism, and a delicate open mouth with radial teeth. What makes this piece special are its carved wooden limbs, a detail of superior quality compared to common composition models. It retains its factory-painted shoes and socks; there is a restoration on one leg as shown in the photos; otherwise in excellent condition considering its age.
