Description from the seller

A vintage telephone, an authentic testament to Swedish technological thinking. The device dates from the 1940s or 1950s, when Scandinavian design set the standards worldwide. The instrument was manufactured in the renowned workshops of the state-owned Televerket company in Nynäshamn (Sweden), as clearly evidenced by the original signature on the housing featuring the crown and lightning bolt symbol.

This specimen was purchased directly from the private collection of an antique telephone enthusiast. According to the previous owner, the phone is functional, but due to the lack of technical means to verify it on the current network, I am listing it as untested/non-working as a precaution. It may therefore be a great base for those looking to restore it to full functionality or a superb, ready-to-display exhibit.

The phone is made of high-quality black bakelite, which to this day retains its deep shine and elegant character. The construction, with a base of 18 cm depth and 15.5 cm width and a total height of 18 cm (including the handset), stands out for its exceptional solidity – the unit is unusually heavy and weighs about 3.5 kg, confirming the high quality of materials used in its construction.

Visually, this is a very well-preserved specimen, ideal as a prestigious interior decor piece in a retro, loft, or vintage style. The housing is complete and crack-free, and the only minor flaw is the absence of one rubber foot on the bottom, which does not affect aesthetics during display. The device features a classic dial face and a side crank (both turn nicely), making it a real treat for collectors. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an authentic icon of Swedish design, which served as the precursor for many European models...

I do not ship to the USA and to countries affected by armed conflict (the Middle East).
