in 1865, Liebig began using color chromolithographs as advertising material for their meat extract products. The chromos were issued as a bonus with the packaging of their products. Each chromo featured an image that was usually related to art, science, history, or geography.

De chromo's werden uitgegeven als een extraatje bij de verpakking van hun producten. Elk chromo bevatte een afbeelding die meestal gerelateerd was aan kunst, wetenschap, geschiedenis of geografie.
