Ancient Egyptian situle from the Late Period (664–332 BC), ceramic beige with engobe, cylindrical body with a pointed base and two vertical handles, 8.1 cm high and 7.9 cm wide, in good condition and authentic.
Description from the seller
Pot or situla with handles
Ceramic vessel. Cylindrical body, pointed base, small rolled lip.
The pot is flanked by two small vertical handles, probably for suspension.
Egypt, Late Period, 664/332 BCE.
Dark beige ceramic with traces of slip.
Height 8.1 cm - Width 7.9 cm - In perfect condition, superb piece.
Provenance: France, Galerie M.A.Y.
Previous provenance history: important French archaeology collection transmitted by inheritance and sold by the heirs
