Description from the seller
The Taj lamp is an iconic object for refined enthusiasts; it is in excellent condition, like new, with truly minimal and negligible use. The Taj lamp strikes because it is beautiful both when lit and when off.
Taj uses LED technology to optimize and minimize the light source as much as possible while at the same time taking a new step in the company's technological challenge, creating an object with unique know-how. What makes it unique is that, more than a lamp, it becomes and is a three-dimensional sign, a luminous sculpture, a presence that accompanies us on the desk as well as on a piece of furniture.
It was designed in 2012 by the renowned Italian designer Ferruccio Laviani, and the following year its mini version was created.
The Taj is a table lamp that stands out for the following characteristics:
* Sculptural form: it presents itself as a three-dimensional, fluid sign, resembling a comma or a self-supporting arch.
* Technological innovation: it was Kartell's first lamp to integrate and optimize LED technology, allowing the light source to be minimized as much as possible.
* It is entirely made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), in both transparent and mass-colored versions.
* It features an organic design: the flowing lines and curves eliminate joints and articulated arms of traditional table lamps.
* Technological minimalism: the structure fully blends with the LED light source, which disappears inside the body of the lamp.
* Contemporary aesthetics: the use of mass-produced transparent plastic creates light play and reflections typical of 21st-century avant-garde design.
Over the years it has become a collectible object.
